Power vs. Force
By David Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D.
Every
so often a book will cross my path that radically
alters the way I view the world. This is one such
book. Though I have dabbled in some rudimentary quantum physics
theory and drawn some conclusions regarding the unseen world,
this book took me on a gentle ride towards a fuller understanding
of my individual role in a creating a collective human wholeness.
Traditionally, “forceful” people are viewed as
those who wield wealth and influence. Dr. Hawkins, an extraordinarily
well educated man whose first person account of a mystical
experience at age fourteen lays the foundation for the rest
of the book, lays out a framework for understanding the difference
between the nature of “force” and the nature of
“power.”
True power, according to Dr. Hawkins, is
the result of focused loving attention - and intention.
He comes at this concept from both a scientific and spiritual
perspective. It is fascinating material.
I have always wondered how it could be that humanity as a
collective might be “shifted” by a relatively
small number of highly evolved people. Dr. Hawkins presents
recent data that indicates that the human being can evolve
at an accelerated pace when provided with some basic tools.
Backed up by medical research and indisputable facts, some
of the statistics blew me away: one individual, calibrated
at a “consciousness level” of 400 (on a scale
of 1000) produces a high enough electro-magnetic frequency
to counter-balance the negative “vibrations” of
40,000 individuals. One 700 level person can counter-balance
7,000,000 people! There are only 12 of those folks on the
planet so far, according to Dr. Hawkins, so we all must do
our part – and quickly – if we are to flow with
the impending planetary changes (indeed, they have begun to
pick up speed already.)
This guy is not a flake. He’s a kinesiologist and psychiatrist
with a huge understanding of the connections between the body
and the mind and the soul. He writes simply and clearly.
This is not a hard, heavy book. On the contrary, I found it
a page turner that sparked hope in my heart.
If you want to explore the fringe of an exciting
new world, pick up this book. It will help a lot
when you step on shore to find the landmarks have shifted
beyond recognition. Make no mistake; we will all of us step
on the shore. Our individual preparedness will determine what
sights await us collectively.
